So you can check that off your box if you’ve completely decided on building a traditional network marketing business.

Before I list all of the Maakoa products, understand that as a health and wellness mlm, having a system of products like they have, instead of a ‘one-product-wonder,’ is absolutely essential for long term growth of a direct sales company and their distributor’s bank accounts. Systems provide business volume my friends, because they provide results.

Now, getting into the Maakoa’s system….or the two products they have….

Koopuwa Anti-Oxidant Beverage

MXP3: Maakoa Extreme Performance Protein Powder

Maakoa’s Koopuwa drink is an anti-oxidant mixture that combines the the Cupuaçu Fruit with several other Super Fruits.

I’m not sure about MaaKoa’s protein powder and its ingredients.

I personally like health companies who have great drinks and supplements that make you actually feel different, but especially if there are food products to go along with them that make you look different! In health and wellness, retention is all about products that are emotional for people.

This is a red flag for these guys, as the webpage already looks pretty cheap and only having two pretty common products doesn’t do anything to add to their appeal.

Here is the question you want to focus on as you look at Maakoa products, “are these products providing a solution in the market that everybody in the market is looking for, are they unique, & would the average person use and become emotionally attached to them?”

Maakoa Compensation Plan

Pet peeve #1: mlm’s need to have videos to explain their comp plan. Maakoa just has these bullet points, which leaves it pretty nebulous for a new person:

• Fast Starter Bonus
• Team Builder Bonus
• Building Your Business 2×2
• Leadership Check Match
• Team Commissions

Here’s why; only 15 % of society are analytical researchers who can read that complicated PDF and make sense of it. 85% of the world are auditory and visual learners who buy emotionally (these are your ideal buyers). So if you join, suggest to them to get a video up!

Their business starter pack is $499.  That’s good for some people in this economy; certainly a qualified prospect, but not everyone.

I personally like to have them enter my funnel and world for $25, they buy everything, then when I have them making money online, they can join my primary business on the back end. People are more willing this way and ease into it with a low purchase, develop trust, get great results, then go all in with you. More on that at the bottom ; )

What building a successful Maakoa business is really going be about only spending your time with pre-qualified people who contact you, and ideally, have already bought something from you (more on that at the bottom).

When you’re evaluating the Maakoa management team and their experience (as you should), you want to not only resonate with the team’s stories, but you want a balance of proven corporate and network marketing leaders.

The have a mission stated which is good but all of the experience on the management team is in network marketing. If you’re going the traditional mlm route, you really want to find a leadership team that has some members who also have experience taking a Fortune 100/500/1000 to half a billion or more.

As you review Maakoa, you want to understand the four phases of a company’s growth: Formulation, Concentration, Momentum, & Stability. The best time to partner with a company isn’t at the ground floor as the vast majority think, nor is it once they have their own NFL arena.

Its during their momentum phase; approximately for most companies from 275 Million to 1 Billion. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. Now there is a sweet spot called Critical Mass, right before momentum, and if you can find an organization unique in its products, with authentic leaders, & a mission even deeper than its deep pockets, jump right in!

Here are some useful statistics for your career that your upline most likely doesnt know that will serve you. There have only been 70 direct selling companies to hit $1oo million, of those only 45 have hit $250 Million. Of those 45 that have hit $250 Million, only 4 have continued to sustained growth in their domestic markets (United States & Canada).

In my assessment, Maakoa was founded in 2009 and hasn’t been overly aggressive in expansion so you’re okay on that side of things.

Whether you choose Maakoa or a different company, if you don’t have a way to market it that is attractive (i.e.-not chasing friends and family or going to 4 networking events a week), nobody will want to join you!

This is especially true if you want to attract young rock stars ; ) You need a turn key marketing platform & training system for them to speak to their target market inside their social networks effectively.

These superjuices/teas are meant to alleviate fatigue and stress, boost the immune system, increase mental clarity, improve circulation, and help battle free radicals. The RevvNRG web site claims that they place the well-being of the South American rainforest as its core philosophy, and donate a portion of their profits to rainforest conservation.

RevvNRG utlizes the benefits of some of the most commonly used exotic ingredients in ‘superjuices’ today.The ingredients, which include Acai, Green tea, Yerba, Capuacu, Cha’ de bugre, and are all harvested in South America.

I personally like health companies who have great drinks and supplements that make you actually feel different, but especially if there are food products to go along with them that make you look different! In health and wellness, retention is all about products that are emotional for people.  If these products really are emotional for people then more power to RevvNRG.

RevvNRG Compensation Plan

RevvNRG’s “Extreme Compensation Model,” claims to be able one with a lot of leverage for experienced networkers. That is probably why you have to build a lot of legs. There is an old saying in our industry that says, “Build wide for show, and deep for dough.” I’ll leave it at that.

One piece of their comp plan I am not a fan of is that if you’re an associate and for some reason you go inactive (haven’t ordered product…like if you were in the hospital..who knows), they flush all of your volume.

Its great the RevvNRG has a compensation plan video, but it is a little nebulous.  You want to imagine what you’re prospects will be looking at and see if the experience is persuasive and easy to understand. A good comp plan video should have you up at night because you understand the numbers so well!

The starter packages offered by RevvNRG begin with the Customer Pack, which costs $33, and go up to The Mega Grandfather Pack, which comes in at a total of $1199. The challenge here is that they want you to take the 45 boxes of product that come in the $1199 pack and go out and promote it on foot.

RevvNRG was founded by Scotty Paulson, its current CEO. RevvNRG’s stated mission is to ensure that every person can experience a more free, active, and healthy lifestyle.  Scott has a good balance of both corporate Fortune 500 experience as well as direct sales. A balance like this is ideal with C-Level executives of a network marketing company that make it for the long haul.

That being said, its great to be able to evaluate a management team as well as the scientific advisory board and only Scotty’s name is listed. That’s a little bit of a red flag if you’re going to be enrolling seasoned business owners and leaders.

The Arrix system is fairly well rounded, as long as it can be presented as an alternative grocery spending source. The shake saves them there, rounding out the system.

Ariix calls its compensation plan a “multi-line” claiming there will be an increased flow of income to the top and bottom lines because of this set up. Ariix reps can earn from retail profit, base commissions, and other bonuses.

There is one challenge here for reps; they don’t have a comp plan video…just a pdf. This is one of my biggest pet peeves with companies and a big marketing mistake.

Props to Ariix for their creative introduction to their leadership! This was really well done. They have them in their formal suits and when you scroll over them, it switches them to their favorite casual gear. This is a great way to get people to relate. I love this!

From Fred Cooper (ex-President of Usana) through the rest of the management team, you’ll find a lot of network marketing management experience.

They’re a little weak on the Fortune 100/500/1000 operations experience so hopefully they can attract some of that talent.  You need people on that side with proven track records so they can handle the logistics and operations of the magic formula; “ten times current production.”

Ariix looks like their doing well portraying community and culture with lots of personal development weaved into their site. This helps create the fabric of a company and a safe environment to grow.

Tim Sales, industry famous helped form this company in July of 2011, so its very new.

First off, this is great…per their website, “All of ZoiVi’s products have complete traceability from seed to consumer. ” There are many companies today that do not produce their own products, and so I applaud ZoiVi putting this at the bottom of their products page.

ZoiVi has a philosophy that is near and dear to my heart as a cleanse coach of cleaning out the body, rebuilding it, and making the cells happy.  It appears they can get a great result visually for people and then utilize ‘the grocery replacement’ play, which is key in consumables in this economy.

Now, getting into the ZoiVi system….

ZoiVi DTX is their detox system.  How gentle, efficient, & effective it is, I’m not sure. (Incidentally, I’m a cleanse coach for the world leader in nutritional cleansing & cellular replenishing….the man who invented this whole movement, so I can get pretty discriminant looking at products).

ZoiVi Burn is their fat burning/thermogenics product, which is key to the system.

Zoivi FastFood is their meal replacement, which I particularly love the branding they’ve done. I think this is brilliant for the solution their marketing in the minds of their ideal client.

ZoiVi TrueBoost is their energy drink, I also applaud the focus on CoQ10, as it is a very overlooked and critical element the body requires. There is also a big market for natural energy drinks along with a system.

ZoiVi TrueComplete is their daily vitamin. Again, props to them for the CoQ10 focus.

ZoiVi TrueKids is their kids health supplement. We have one too in our company and its great that their cultivating the culture and products in the spirit of ‘a family affair.’ Well done.

Lastly, ZoiVi EMZ is their enzyme blend. This is like the nutrition delivery truck for your cells.  I would bet people will get great results with this along with the rest of their ZoiVi system.

Kyani’s products include Kyani Sunrise, a vitamin-infused drink with wild Alaskan blueberry, Concord grapes, raspberry, blueberry, pomegranate, aloe vera, noni, cranberry, goji, grape seed/grape skin, and bee pollen (great combo); Kyani Sunset, an Omega-3 and Tocotrienol supplement in capsules; Kyani NitroFX and NitroXtreme, supplements designed to increase natural nitric oxide production in our bodies.

These products are with out question quality and have some great ingredients.

Kyani Compensation Plan

One of my pet peeves in network marketing is when a company only has a PDF for their comp plan. This is poor marketing. Here’s why; 85% of your potential clients are visual and auditory learners, so having no video to quickly and easily explain the plan is a mistake by Kyani. The other 15% are analytical researchers who love the PDF. I’m sure they can improve that though.  To their credit, at least they have it drawn out more on their web page, instead of just a PDF.

Kyani has a whats called a  ’3 x 7 forced matrix’ compensation plan. Kyani distributors earn up to 30% of purchases made by their personal customers and can also get sponsor bonuses, fast start bonuses, rank bonuses, leadership pools, car program, and incentive trips.

This type of comp plan is not the easiest for the new person to learn or be successful at and so it is definitely not my favorite.

Enrollment cost as a Kyani distributor ranges from $300 to $1000. There is a monthly qualification requirement of 100 qualifying business volume to remain eligible for all compensation.  If you ask me, in this economy, you have to give people a much lower starting point.

Kyani Management & Leadership

When you’re evaluating the Kyani management team and their experience (as you should), you want to not only resonate with the team’s stories, but you want a balance of proven corporate and network marketing leaders.

Carl Taylor, Kirk Hansen, and Dick & Gayle Powell have network marketing experience.  They come from  family farming and oil businesses.

My concern here with Kyani leadership is the small lack of corporate operations and logistical experience of having taken a company to half a billion or more.

Their management team of Michael Breshears, Chief Executive Officer, Steven Hatch, Senior Vice President of Marketing, & Scott Seedall, Vice President & General Counsel balances it out a little more with some general business experience. Vemma is a company that came out of the New Vision, and is located in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Their drink Verve are involved with several sports endorsements and sponsorships.  They offer a 30 day, empty bottle money back guarantee.

Vemma has multiple drinks that include essential vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants. One of its key ingredients is mangosteen, known for its high level of antioxidants.

Its great that they have such a variety and are utilizing systems and not claiming to be a one-product-wonder. The challenge you may find if you choose to become a distributor is the over-saturation of health drinks on the market.

I personally like health companies who have great drinks that make you actually feel different, but especially if there are food products to go along with them that make you look different!  In health and wellness, retention is all about products that are emotional for people.

Here is the question you want to focus on as you look at Vemma products, “are these products providing a solution in the market that everybody in the market is looking for, are they unique, & would the average person use and become emotionally attached to them?”

Vemma Compensation Plan

The first thing that I do like is that Vemma has a comp plan video on their page. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen companies with just a PDF (red flag – poor marketing).  The reason you want a video to explain the compensation plan is for prospects and team members who are mostly auditory and visual learners.

Vemma distributors are called “brand partners.” The Vemma compensation plan haswith a 30-day money back guarantee as well as an in-home-trial evaluation of the Vemma products. Personally, I am not a fan of this. Get in or go home.  If the products really suck, you’ll return them and get your money back.

Vemma has three starter packs to begin with; the Bronze, Silver, & Gold Pack.

What I don’t like, is that they encourage the business pack because they want you to have product on hand to sample, like a store. A joke in the industry is called a “garage qualified business.” Now I have extra products of the company I use because I’m nuts about it and my autoship is like a small house payment, so I have extra to give out if I’m on the go.

The point is, its not my primary way to market. If handing out samples is your main way to market, you have a store, a job, and no leverage.

It is good the Vemma has their income disclosure policy right under the comp plan PDF.  That is another clue that they have it together.  Also, to give them credit where it is due, their compensation plan PDF is very well laid out and describes the ranks visually and easy to comprehend.

Vemma uses whats called a one thirds two thirds binary; this is absolutely my favorite compensation plan in the whole industry. Build two teams and duplicate, that’s it.

Then Vemma has the standard ways to get paid: 1) retail 2) fast start bonus 3) team cycles (Combined BV) 4) enroller matching bonus 5) tier matching bonus cap 6) Momentum bonus 7) global bonus pools rank advancement bonuses.

When it comes down to it, Vemma has a very fair comp plan and I like its features. I don’t often say that.

Naseer Khan, General Manager, GIA Wellness Canada, has extensive field experience and works directly with the field. I always love seeing that from corporate. Ian Ross, General Manager, GIA Wellness Australia & New Zealand, has a proven track record in the industry as well.

Instead of immediately just pitching benefits & features (words they actually say over and over), masterful education based marketing would say something like this 5 times in 5 minutes, “Did you know that stress in the family is the #1 cause of _____, ___% of couples who travel were shown to have significantly more/better_____, stress in couples who travel were shown to significantly make more money, children who travel with their parents and experience other cultures have been shown more likely to_____.”

Note: I just made all those statistics up, but Pyxism deserves to hire someone to get the real research so they can capture the other 97% of people who weren’t considering world travel as a product or business but are open to it. I learned this kind of marketing when I worked as I consultant with Tony Robbins & Chet Holmes, ‘Business Breakthroughs International.”

So do my drift with that though? That is masterful corporate marketing; using documented research and market data, which is ALWAYS more motivational than product data.

Pyxism Compensation Plan

Its definitely a positive thing that Pyxism has a video for their compensation plan. I can’t tell you how many mlm’s I run across that just have a PDF. Bush League! People are visual, auditory, & comp plans are complicated enough sometimes that a quick video presentation is essential in this day and age.

Pyxism operates a 2×2 martix they call the ’2×2 follow me matrix.’ I will also note that this video and the product video look like they were made in the 70′s.  Think about the first impression your potential prospect may have when looking at this. Just sayin’.

21 Day Fast start bonus, $25 for initial enrollments, $300 for filling your matrix and helping your two get two. After you complete your matrix, you have to start over. This goes on and until you fill up five of them and get access to the 2×3 matrix part of the plan. This happens a few more times and you keep accessing new benefits of the comp plan.

In my humble but most accurate opinion, you want to find a company with a simple compensation plan that can be explained on a napkin, and understood the first time so well that you cant sleep at night…this may be a challenge with the Pxyism plan.

Pyxism Management & Leadership

Pyxism was named after the Constellation “Pyxis” short for (Pyxis Nautica), the Latin term for a navigational compass. The company was founded in 2009 by Lloyd Wilson of San Clemente, California, USA, and is a US based company.

Pyxism’s website states now that they’re called P-149 are based in Medellin, Columbia. It also says that they were founded in 2011. Very interesting.  I don’t know whats worse for branding; Pyxism or P-149…not my favorite names.

Pyxism or (P-149) is completely nebulous about their management team and their experience corporately and in network marketing, so its nearly impossible to gauge their ability to lead the field.

This is a HUGE red flag.  Would you join a company for the long term without being able to see if you resonate with its leaders?

As you review Pyxism, you want to understand the four phases of a company’s growth: Formulation, Concentration, Momentum, & Stability. The best time to partner with a company isn’t at the ground floor as the vast majority think, nor is it once they have their own NFL arena.

Its during their momentum phase; approximately for most companies from 275 Million to 1 Billion. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. Now there is a sweet spot called Critical Mass, right before momentum, and if you can find an organization unique in its products, with authentic leaders, & a mission even deeper than its deep pockets, jump right in!

Here are some useful statistics for your career that your upline most likely doesnt know that will serve you. There have only been 70 direct selling companies to hit $1oo million, of those only 45 have hit $250 Million. Of those 45 that have hit $250 Million, only 4 have continued to sustained growth in their domestic markets (United States & Canada)..

Pyxism is obviously still pretty new and and is still being formulated in this re-birth as P-149.

Whether you choose Pyxism or another company, if you don’t have a way to market it that is attractive (i.e.-not chasing friends and family or going to 4 networking events a week), nobody will want to join you!

This is especially true if you want to attract young rock stars ; ) You need a turn key marketing platform & training system for them to speak to their target market inside their social networks effectively.
